This includes vendor management, procurement, inventory management across multiple warehouses and overseeing the quality control, distribution, and sales of lubricants. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Product Procurement and Inventory Management:
- Lead procurement and vendor management of our proprietary brand of lubricants.
- Ensure lubricants meet or exceed industry standards and customer specifications.
- Introduce / train / implement new products for various market segments (automotive, industrial, marine, etc.).
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies for the lubricant’s portfolio.
- Work closely with the sales team to meet sales targets and expand market share.
- Identify customer needs and provide solutions through product innovations or enhancements.
- Oversee product launches and promotional activities to boost brand awareness.
- Identify key prospects in efforts to expand current footprint, gain entry into new industries, and
- Manage the procurement process for lubricants, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality.
- Manage relationship with current supplier while pursuing growth opportunities with alternatives.
- Optimize logistics and distribution strategies to ensure timely delivery of products to customers in multiple markets.
- Ensure that lubricants comply with local, national, and international regulations.
- Develop and enforce quality control measures to guarantee product consistency and performance.
- Stay updated with environmental regulations and ensure that the company's products meet sustainability criteria.
- Lead and manage the lubricants team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration with other departments (R&D, operations, finance, etc.) to meet business objectives.
- Coordinate with senior management to align strategies with the company’s overall goals.
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports on market performance, product sales, and operational efficiencies.
- Recommend adjustments to business strategies based on data analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers.
- Address any customer complaints or issues regarding lubricant products.
- Provide technical support and training to customers on the proper use of lubricants.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in the lubricants or related industries (e.g., oils, chemicals, automotive).
- Experience in product management, marketing, or sales in the lubricants sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of lubricant formulations, manufacturing processes, and quality standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth understanding of lubricants products and their applications.
- Proficiency in market analysis, sales strategies, and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
- Project management experience is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field. Lubricant Certification(s) preferred: CLS, MLA, MLT, CLGS
- This position is not eligible for relocation.
- Office-based with frequent travel to company coverage areas, customer sites, and industry events.
- Potential for extended hours or weekend work during peak periods.
