Job Purpose

Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist with expertise in 5-axis machining to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining centers with minimal supervision, ensuring the production of high-quality precision components for the aviation and aerospace industries.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
• Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot controllers, machines, and processes to maintain efficiency.
• Interpret and work from blueprint requirements to produce accurate components.
• Select appropriate tools, set feeds, and speeds for machining operations.
• Inspect machined parts using precision hand tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools, equipment, and machines.
• Re-order tools and supplies as needed to support continuous operations.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and lift up to 70 lbs as required.
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC machining centers.
• Proficiency in CNC 3 & 4-axis milling setup and operations.
• Experience with 5-axis machining and machining large parts.
• Background in the aerospace industry is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and adjust machines and processes.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, tool selection, and setting feeds and speeds.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
