This role will involve 60% project work to enhance plant efficiency and 40% troubleshooting & maintenance to reduce reliance on outsourced support. The long-term vision includes team building, transitioning legacy Siemens systems to Allen Bradley (AB), and advancing Industry 4.0 initiatives to improve system communication and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Controls Standardization & Optimization: Lead efforts to migrate all legacy control systems to Allen Bradley, ensuring a unified platform for plant operations.
- Automation & Industry 4.0 Initiatives: Drive smart manufacturing by integrating control systems for real-time data collection and predictive maintenance.
- Project Management: Oversee special projects, including energy optimization for on-site turbines to enhance power efficiency.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve automation/control system issues, reducing plant downtime and dependency on external support.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with management and plant personnel to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Future Team Development: Plan for team expansion, mentoring junior engineers as the role evolves.
- Experience: 5 years as a Controls Engineer (4 years considered for highly skilled candidates with strong leadership abilities).
- Technical Skills:
- Rockwell/Allen Bradley & Siemens PLCs – programming from scratch, troubleshooting, and implementing new systems.
- Electrical engineering expertise in power distribution, motor control, and instrumentation.
- SCADA & HMI development experience.
- Industry Background: Open to all industries, but experience in chemical or consumer products manufacturing is highly preferred.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
