Job Purpose -
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring production and processing equipment operate efficiently and meet quality standards by optimizing planned and unplanned maintenance systems. The role includes supervising maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventive maintenance plans to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and ensure a safe, efficient, and continuously improving facility.

Roles And Responsibilities -
- Ensure equipment reliability by managing planned and unplanned maintenance activities in a cost-effective manner.
- Supervise and oversee maintenance events, troubleshoot issues, and manage a well-organized maintenance shop.
- Lead and develop preventive maintenance plans to achieve OEE objectives and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with operations management to address and resolve chronic production and processing issues.
- Oversee mechanical/electrical resources, assign tasks, and provide training to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Control the repair and maintenance budget while ensuring timely execution of work orders and part procurement.
- Maintain safety programs and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Organize and maintain maintenance-related spaces, ensuring cleanliness and order.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company’s production systems.
- Document all maintenance activities through comprehensive work orders.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintaining and operating manufacturing and production facility equipment, with a strong electrical background.
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley software (RS Logix 5000, PLC 5, SLC 500 Factory Talk View) and Siemens/Sick Safety PLCs.
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation control devices and software.
- Proven track record in implementing preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and robust planning and scheduling methods.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage mechanical/electrical resources.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to empower and motivate employees.
- Preferred experience in a team-oriented culture, particularly within a unionized environment.
