Key Responsibilities
- Programming & Machine Setup
- Develop and implement Swiss CNC programs, selecting optimal tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds to meet production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints and solid part models to create precise and efficient machining programs.
- Process Optimization & Efficiency
- Analyze engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine the best sequence of operations.
- Develop detailed setup sheets to streamline production processes and enhance accuracy.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Verify job setups and final part accuracy to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
- Update programs and documentation to accommodate engineering changes or process improvements.
- Continuous Improvement & Troubleshooting
- Lead efforts to reduce machining time, improve tool performance, and test new product programs.
- Collaborate with other departments to refine inspection methods, perform First Article Inspections (FAIs), and implement in-process quality checks.
- Shop Floor Support & Technical Assistance
- Assist machinists with inspection procedures, machine troubleshooting, and resolving programming issues.
- Work with the tool room to design and develop work-holding fixtures and related documentation.
- Cross-Department Collaboration
- Coordinate with department managers to ensure job schedules are met and production remains on track.
- Work closely with the quality department to establish robust inspection processes and maintain high-quality standards.
- Swiss CNC Expertise: Proven experience in programming and setting up Swiss CNC machines with strong knowledge of tooling selection, cutting speeds, and feeds.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong focus on process optimization, troubleshooting, and improving machine efficiency.
- Quality Control Knowledge: Experience with inspection methods, quality assurance processes, and conducting First Article Inspections (FAIs).
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent ability to train machinists, provide technical support, and communicate effectively across departments.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to producing high-precision parts that meet or exceed product specifications.
Salary : $57,000 - $67,000
