Paralegal

Looking for a seasoned paralegal who has experience working in a family law firm as well as some experience working in a personal injury law firm (PI not required). We are located in Arcadia. The candidate will provide support to the attorney. We are looking for someone who wants to continue growing with our firm. An ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping our clients, be able to work with little to no supervision, and be detail driven.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of family law paralegal experience preferred.

Experience in working in a personal injury law firm is preferred but not required.

Have the ability to interact with others in a mutually courteous and professional manner.

Exceptional writing and oral skills.

Superior communication, problem solving and legal research skills.

Detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple work streams under deadline pressure. (overtime available to meet deadlines)

Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and timelines.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (word and excel).

Job duties to include:

Drafting motions, including discovery motions.

Preparing financial disclosures.

Drafting and editing correspondence.

Performing legal research and drafting research memorandums.

Extensive interfacing and coordinating with clients.

Assisting with trial preparation.

Maintaining and organizing case files, including discovery coordination, managing documents and other materials produced or received in discovery, and electronic document management.

Draft and respond to discovery demands.

Conducting document review, creating detailed summaries.
