What We Need
The Director E-Commerce is a high-level leader that proactively leads an E-Commerce team by using expert industry knowledge and understanding. This role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of E-Commerce strategies and objectives.
What You’ll Do
- Manage channel conflict to an acceptable level while still driving sales growth leveraging existing inventory at new and current customers.
- Deliver accretive Gross Margin across all eComm collections.
- Manage key accounts and long-term planning for online retailers to optimize return on investment.
- Manage customer marketing program and campaign activation for online retailers.
- Analyze program and campaign performance data for various reports to help support new initiatives.
- Regularly analyze a comparison to monthly and quarterly targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommend changes to policies and established procedures.
- Lead the building and defining of an optimal online shopping experience and provide and apply learnings to key customers sites to encourage growth.
- Lead the development of testing and learning initiatives to create educational, compelling, and converting enhanced content to the customers and to the company.
- Build and support high functioning, motivated teams.
- Connect team's efforts with savvy grasp of organizational ecosystem and prioritizes based on business need.
- Work collaboratively with other function leaders on common goals and solutions that impact both teams.
- Involved in developing, modifying, and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may have company-wide impact.
- Work to develop holistic perspective on the organization, its vision, and its activities.
- Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
- Implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for success.
- Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Proactive in identifying and clearing roadblocks for the team.
- Regularly interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning functional area.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 10 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of management experience.
- Developing proven team structure and processes that drive results.
- Solid understanding of broader organization context and goals.
- Able to delegate work effectively to team members; ensures tasks are completed without micromanaging.
- Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations while preserving relationships.
- Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
