Primary Objective

Responsible for material movement and machinery operations needed to safely produce quality backer, décor and overlay products.

Major Function And Scope

• Complies with all company safety rules and procedures
• Infeed - Prepares, loads, and tests raw materials
• Stacking - Controls and tests finished product, adjusts machine settings
• Drives forklift and clamp truck to retrieve materials
• Receives and enters data using Excel
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
  
  

Type Of Experience And Knowledge

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required, experience with process improvement methodology a plus
• Experience in paper, coating, or chemical handling preferred
• Good computer literacy, including Excel skills required
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently
• Strong organizational abilities and understanding of necessity for process improvement
  
  

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information

• This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be regular exposure to noise from machinery, variable temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.
• Other working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
