What We Need
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Digital Designer to lead and manage the development of high-quality décor from concept to final print production. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration of design, color accuracy, and digital printing processes across a variety of materials. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with advanced color expertise and a strong background in digital design and printing technologies.
What You'll Do
- Manage Décor Development – oversee the entire décor development process, from initial concept to final production, ensuring high standards of quality and timely delivery.
- Scan, manipulate, and optimize source materials for digital use.
- Collaborate with Product Management to define décor needs and initial designs.
- Perform digital color adjustments to align with target color profiles and master décor specifications.
- Manage the RIP (Raster Image Processing) process to prepare files for printing.
- Color correct printed materials to achieve the desired final output.
- Color & Media Expertise – serve as the subject matter expert on digital color management, inks, and materials used throughout the process.
- Utilize advanced color-matching techniques to ensure color consistency across different media and substrates.
- Ensure that color reproduction standards are met, working closely with the manufacturing team to address any color-related issues.
- Quality Control & Timeliness – maintain strict adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Ensure approval processes are managed efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Troubleshoot color or design issues in production and provide timely solutions.
- Documentation & Support
- Maintain detailed records of product development, color standards, and process adjustments.
- Provide support and training to manufacturing teams to ensure seamless digital printing processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Printing Technologies, or related field
- Proven experience in Digital Design, Color Management, and Digital Printing
Technical Skills & Expertise -
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (scanning, color manipulation, seamless design creation, blending, and photo manipulation)
- Experience with RIP software and a solid understanding of digital print standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of both Mac and Windows operating systems
- Exceptional color vision with the ability to accurately assess color in varying light conditions.
- Expertise in color correction and achieving precise color matching across diverse materials.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and address complex design and production issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
- Strong service orientation, providing support to both internal teams and production staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Commitment to adhering to safety and work standards in all aspects of the design and production process.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adopt new design software, tools, and techniques to stay at the forefront of industry trends.
- This position requires the team member to sometimes work in production areas where there may be exposure to chemicals, noise from production machinery, dust, fumes.
- Required safety PPE when in production areas: steel toed shoes, ear plugs, and safety glasses (provided).
