MOHAWK TRAIL REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Summer Program Housed at Buckland-Shelburne Elementary School ANTICIPATED OPENINGS- Grant Funded Positions: Summer 2025 Staff- July 7th, 2025 to August 1st, 2025 Academic Lead Teachers PK-6: We need enthusiastic teachers to teach academic content and plan skill/age-appropriate activities for students in the summer program. Teachers will be asked to provide 1:1, small group, and/or whole group instruction depending on age/skill level. Academic Teachers will earn $40 per hour. Certified teachers preferred.
Sports Teachers K-6: We need energetic and movement-minded adults to provide sports enrichments (for example, Soccer, dance, baseball, kickball, and basketball) for students in the summer program. Sports Teachers will earn $30 per hour. Arts and Crafts Teachers K-6: We need artistically inclined adults to provide arts and enrichments (for example, fairy houses, cardboard creations, cooking, and beading) for students in the summer program. Art Teachers will earn $30 per hour.
Field Trip Teacher K-6: We need logistically inclined adults to provide off-campus enrichments (for example, swimming lessons, hiking, kayaking) for students in the summer program. Field Trip Teacher will earn $40 per hour. Science Teachers K-6: We need curious-minded adults to provide hands-on science enrichments (for example, legos, gardening, stream studies) for students in the summer program. Science Teachers will earn $40 per hour.
Speech Language Therapist: Up to full-time hours available to provide 1:1, small group, and push-in SLP services. SLPs will earn $40 per hour. Certified SLPs can only apply. Occupational Therapist: Up to 10 hours available to provide 1:1, small group, and push-in OT services.
OTs will earn $40 per hour. Certified OTs can only apply. Physical Therapist: Up to 5 hours available to provide 1:1, small group, and push-in PT services. PTs will earn $40 per hour.
Certified PTs can only apply. Registered Nurse: Will need to be on-site 5 days per week at an 8:30-3:30 daily rate commensurate with experience. Part-time applicants encouraged to apply, as we may be able to split the position between nurses. Behaviorist: To support the behavioral needs of students 12 hours per week at $40 per hour Summer Program Special Education Paraprofessionals PK-6: We need dedicated staff to support students with IEPS with academics, recreational programming, and meals.
Special Education Paraprofessionals will earn $25 per hour.Summer Program Assistants: will support groups of students during academic and recreational programming and meals; teens are encouraged to apply for this position. Program assistants will earn $17 per hour. Summer Tutors- $30 an hour flexible schedule for students who cannot attend the summer program BSE will offer a summer program located at BSE for 4 weeks, July 7 to August 1. Students will be engaged in a mixture of academic and recreational activities.
Students will be divided into grade-band, skill-based cohorts of PK-6th grade. Commitment to all 4 weeks is preferred. There will be one day of paid training (Date TBD before the start of the summer program for all staff). Summer tutors will be hired on an as-needed basis to support students who cannot attend the summer program but require tutoring.
Preference will be given to candidates with MA teaching experience, elementary education certification, and availability for all 4 weeks. Part and full-time positions available.
