Key Responsibilities
- Identify patient care requirements, establish personal rapport with patients and families, and understand the plan of care throughout the patient's experience.
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
- Promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals; teach patients, friends, and family to understand disease process, medications, and self-care skills.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care activities, including assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
We require a Graduate of an accredited associate degree in nursing, Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse, and one or more years of experience in a related setting. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or higher degree and Basic Life Support Certification.
