At Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, NY, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Full-time Registered Nurse in Home Health Care, you will play a vital role in promoting and restoring patient's health by completing the nursing process.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess patient care requirements, establishing personal rapport with patients and families and understanding of plan of care throughout the patient's experience.
- Create a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
- Promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patients, friends, and family to understand disease process, medications, and self-care skills.
- Ensure quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards.
- The nurse is responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimum patient care.
To be successful in this role, you must have a Graduate of an accredited associate degree in nursing, Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse, and Basic Life Support Certification preferred. We offer a competitive salary range $32 - $37 Hourly.
