A Day in the Life:
As a Clinical Audiologist at Mohawk Valley Health System, you will have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages, from infants to adults. You will conduct comprehensive audiological assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient case history and perform otoscopic examinations
- Interpret test results and develop diagnostic impressions
- Counsel patients and family members on the effects of hearing impairment and balance disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans to improve patient's hearing and communication abilities
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care
- Stay current with advances in audiology practice and technology
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Audiology or Communication Disorders
- New York State license in audiology or obtained within 12 months
- New York State registration as Hearing Aid Dispenser or obtained within 12 months
- Current BLS certification
