Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, this position promotes meal assistance to patients and residents on a daily basis. The Food Service Worker II will assist with meal selections, in the assembly and delivery of meals and food products for hospital patients, residents and visitors.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Maintain safe food handling using clean as you go procedures
- Assist patients with any needs related to their tray, such as opening product
- Accurately serve patient's meals in accordance with their diet prescription
- Communicate patient's concerns with the clinical dietitian
- Stock unit kitchens
- Perform other duties as required
Education/Experience Requirements
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred. High School students accepted.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Typical work hazards associated with a kitchen environment, including working with sharp utensils and cutting machines, hot items, and chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing.
