What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Food Service Worker position at Mohawk Valley Health System?
**Job Summary**
Under the supervision of the Department Manager, the Retail Services Worker will assist in the assembly and delivery or meals and food products for hospital patients, staff, and visitors. This position will maintain the café and operate the Micros system following established cash handling procedures.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare food utilizing standardized recipes and safety guidelines in a timely manner.
- E nsure all food and/or supplies are ready for service at established times.
- E nsure that all food being held for service is within established temperature ranges, recording and temps every two hours, items not in proper temp are corrected.
- A ssure adequate supply of all food items for sale and also an adequate supply of stock, both food and non-food.
- M aintain an efficient pace in the café, cashier duties, cleaning and restocking, and preparing the café for the upcoming meal period.
- P erform other duties as required.
