Core Job Responsibilities
- Performs tasks related to the operations of the Patient Access Department as directed by the Patient Access Training and Development Manager.
- Performs classroom training of New Hires for Registration related jobs within MVHS.
- Performs On the Job Training for New Hires within the Patient Access Services Department.
- Maintains proficiency in the ability to perform all jobs within all areas of Registration, Scheduling, and Billing.
- Performs and completes quality improvement audits for the Patient Access Department, and reports results to the Training and Development Manager.
- Attends monthly department meetings, and provides updates to front end staff from the Training and Development Team.
- Monitors Registration errors via Epic Work Queues, identifies trends, reports back to the Patient Access Training and Development Manager.
- Makes suggestions for areas of improvement.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Education or IT area.
Required:
- Ability to obtain Epic Certification or Credentialing in Cadence, Prelude, or Referrals within 6 months of hire
- Epic Certification or Credentialing in Cadence, Prelude, or Referrals.
