- Position Summary:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
- Is the initial employee contact for problem resolution in health insurance, flexible spending accounts and 401(k)/retirement issues
- Accurately communicates all benefits programs (i.e. life insurance, short term disability, long term disability, flexible spending accounts, etc.) to employees
- Provides employees with answers to Human Resources related questions
- Enrolls employees into the medical plans and ensures delivery of complete insurance package
- Approves and audits benefit information in Infinium
- Handles court orders pertaining to medical coverage
- Handles employee benefits verifications
- Complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
- Assists with general Human Resources administration
- Acts as a liaison between employees and all other Human Resources staff
- Distributes employee incentive program awards, gifts, etc.
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Prior office experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of Mohegan Sun’s insurance packages and 401(k)/retirement plan
- Intermediate knowledge in Infinium
- Ability to navigate the HR Portal and Manager Self Service system
- General knowledge of payroll procedures
- Basic understanding of all departmental responsibilities related to the operation of Mohegan Sun
- Must complete all appropriate Human Resources Training courses
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrates a variety of problem solving skills
- Must become HIPAA certified
- Office work environment
- Must sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
