Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing basic repairs and routine maintenance in the facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
- Completes maintenance Work Orders
- Assists other trades, as needed
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Four years of experience operating power tools, fork lifts and handling requests with other trades
Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
- Basic knowledge of the safe and effective use of all types of power tools
- Ability to interpret and follow manuals, sketches and work orders
Training Requirements:
- Proper use of equipment and tools required to complete job duties
- Respirator trained and fit tested
- Man lift training (scissor and boom lift)
- Forklift training
- Fall training
- Mandated safety training
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and cold
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and climb a ladder
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
