GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

Primary role as a Network Administrator is to ensure the smooth operation of the network infrastructure, maintain network security, and provide technical support to end-users.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS :

All employees of Stockbridge Munsee Community must meet the following qualification :

• Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and health screening.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, unless otherwise stated on job description
• Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record
• Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays

DUTIES :

1. Design and configure Aruba switch networks to support the organization's business requirements.

2. Ensure that the network infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.

3. Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to prevent downtime.

4. Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize network requirements and implement solutions.

5. Conduct regular network audits and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement.

6. Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and user manuals.

7. Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and VPNs.

8. Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies and trends and make recommendations for improving the organization's network infrastructure.

9. Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot network issues as needed.

10. Manage network access control and user authentication, including network access policies, authentication protocols, and encryption.

11. Provide courteous service to internal customers and be cordial to all IT team members and vendors.

12. Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to : Employment Manual, Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos and other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.

13. Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.

14. Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.

15. Required to attend job related, in-service, meetings, and training to maintain professional and technical knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS :

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required equivalent work / education in network experience may be considered.

2. At least three (3) years of experience in network administration is required.

3. In-depth knowledge of network protocols such as TCP / IP, VLAN, and QoS is required.

4. Strong technical skills in network security, wireless networks, and cloud computing required.

5. In-depth knowledge of Aruba switching technologies, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, is preferred.

6. Other certifications in network administration, information security and / or telecommunications are preferred.

7. Must be willing to attend all applicable training.

8. Must pass pre-employment drug and health screening. Must adhere to the Tribe's Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.

9. Must be eligible for coverage under the employer's liability insurance.

10. Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment.

11. Must be able to meet physical requirements of position.

12. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin driver's license within 30 days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver's license. Must meet and maintain the eligibility to operate a personal or tribal vehicle under the driver acceptability guidelines as established by Mohican Nation Insurance.

13. Must abide by departmental and organizational safety, testing, and uniform guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

1. This position requires a lot of sitting with occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and / or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

2. Evening and / or weekend is required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
