A financially stable, mission-driven critical access heatlhcare is seeking a hands-on leader to build a high-performing, in-house billing and revenue operation. This is a newly created position due to service line expansion — and we’re looking for someone who’s done this before.
If you’ve built revenue cycle processes to support new clinical or outpatient services, integrated them with Epic (or similar EHR systems), and know how to lead a team toward clean claims and compliant billing — this is your next step.
What You’ll Do
- Design and lead the complete billing infrastructure for newly launched hospital services
- Build billing workflows that populate the claim form accurately, integrate with the EHR, and ensure clean, timely claims
- Oversee an outsourced team of 50 staff while building toward a sustainable in-house structure
- Act as the key revenue cycle liaison for cross-functional teams launching new departments and services
- Ensure compliance with reimbursement guidelines for Critical Access Hospitals / Method 2
- Partner with the CFO and senior leadership on billing readiness and system design
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience in hospital revenue cycle leadership
- Direct experience launching billing processes for new hospital service lines
- Deep understanding of registration, MPI/P10s, claim logic, and reimbursement workflows
- Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems (implementation or customization experience a plus)
- Ability to lead outsourced teams while setting up future internal structure
- Methodical, strategic thinker with hands-on knowledge of back-end billing design
