The Junior Electrical Estimator will play a crucial part in ensuring the success of our projects by assessing production cost factors, preparing material, labor, and cost estimates, and managing bids from vendors/contractors for cost evaluations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Review project documents, blueprints, and requirements to understand scope
• Attend bid walks and team meetings
• Assess production cost factors and prepare material, labor, and cost estimates
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors
• Manage and analyze bids from vendors/contractors for cost evaluations
• Present estimates to management and track actual costs
Requirements
• 2 years of relevant experience
• High School Diploma (postsecondary electrician training or Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Ability to interpret project drawings and schedules
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; experience with Accubid Trimble is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
