Senior Estimator - Salary $100k / $140k
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of an established General Contractor specializing in healthcare and / or higher education construction projects. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned estimator looking to join a dynamic team and take ownership of the full estimating process—from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project Estimation : Prepare detailed cost estimates for building, renovation, and addition projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project scope and client requirements.
Takeoff and Analysis : Perform quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift (or a similar takeoff platform) and accurately transfer takeoff data to Excel .
Subcontractor Coordination : Utilize Building Connected to source, communicate, and negotiate with subcontractors to gather bids and ensure competitive pricing.
Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with project managers, architects, and owners to clarify project details and resolve any discrepancies in plans or specifications.
Software Proficiency : Employ Bluebeam for plan reviews, markups, and digital collaboration, maintaining efficient and organized document workflows.
Autonomous Project Management : Independently manage multiple estimating assignments, adhering to deadlines and delivering results in a high-pressure environment.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience within a General Contractor environment.
Proven background in healthcare and / or higher education construction, including experience with building, renovations, and additions .
Proficiency in PlanSwift (or similar takeoff software), with the ability to generate and manipulate data in Excel .
Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently , maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Familiarity with Building Connected for subcontractor engagement and Bluebeam for digital plan review and collaboration.
