Senior Project Developer – Renewable Energy

Position Overview :
We are seeking a Senior Project Developer to lead and support the development of renewable energy projects. This role involves working across multiple aspects of the development cycle, including site selection, permitting, power marketing, legal transactions, and mergers & acquisitions. The ideal candidate has experience in project development, energy transactions, and a passion for driving the transition to clean energy.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Development : Identify, assess, and develop renewable energy projects from inception to execution. Manage site selection, negotiate land agreements, and oversee permitting processes.
Origination : Source and negotiate power purchase agreements (PPAs) with utilities, corporate buyers, and other third-party off-takers.
Power Marketing : Collaborate with potential energy buyers, analyze market trends, and support energy sales efforts.
Legal & Contract Management : Work closely with legal teams to structure agreements, contracts, and energy transactions.
Mergers & Acquisitions : Support or lead the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of project and portfolio sales, as well as joint ventures with utilities and independent power producers.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, environmental studies, or a related field.
MBA or JD preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience or strong interest in renewable energy project development, power marketing, legal contracts, or M&A.
Background in site acquisition, permitting, energy transactions, or PPAs is a plus.
