Tax Manager – Small CPA Firm
Location : Miami, FL
Full-time permanent position
Salary : Up to $140,000 -DOE

Position Overview :
The Tax Manager will play a key leadership role within the firm, overseeing tax compliance and planning for a variety of clients. This individual must be a self-starter with strong technical expertise, exceptional client management skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and oversee tax compliance and consulting services for individuals, businesses, and other entities.
Review and prepare complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Provide tax planning strategies and guidance to clients, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization.
Lead, mentor, and develop junior tax staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
Maintain and strengthen client relationships through effective communication and responsive service.
Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and industry developments to ensure best practices and compliance.
Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and client advisory services.
Required Qualifications :
7-8 years of progressive and continuous tax experience in public accounting.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel .
Proven track record of exceptional client management and communication skills.
Team leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in one or more of the following tax areas : International, Trust & Estates, High-Net-Worth Individuals .
CPA certification (strongly preferred).
Proficiency with ProSystems FX and CCH Engagement software.
Bilingual in Spanish and English (a plus).
