Production Support Engineer

Our client, a leading IT Services firm, is currently seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer, for a Full-Time onsite opening.

Salary Range: $80k to $100k (Negotiable - Depending on Experience)

Job Description:

1. Application Support & Troubleshooting Provide Level 2/3 support for production and UAT environments, ensuring system stability, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.

2. Application Testing & Validation Conduct functional and regression testing, validating fixes and enhancements before deployment to production.

3. Linux/Unix Administration Perform system monitoring, log analysis, and troubleshooting in Linux/Unix environments, ensuring optimal application performance.

4. Shell Scripting & Automation Develop and maintain Shell scripts to automate routine tasks, enhance system efficiency, and improve support processes.

5. Database Management (Sybase/Oracle) Manage database-related issues, execute queries, and optimize performance using Sybase or Oracle databases.

6. SQL & PL/SQL Development Write and optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL scripts to support data extraction, reporting, and issue resolution.

7. AutoSys Job Scheduling Manage and monitor AutoSys job schedules, troubleshoot job failures, and ensure smooth batch processing.

8. Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless application support. Maintain documentation for incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
