Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Power BI Developer – Reporting & Data Validation to support reporting, analytics, and data assurance for a major PMIS (Project Management Information System) implementation. This individual will be responsible for designing and building dashboards using Power BI, validating the accuracy of migrated and integrated data, and enabling actionable insights for business and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Reporting & Dashboard Development:
Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
Develop data models, calculated fields (DAX), and KPIs to support project and capital program reporting
Align reporting outputs with PMIS modules including cost management, schedule, and document control
Support ad hoc and executive reporting needs throughout the project lifecycle
Data Validation & Quality Assurance:
Perform validation of migrated data (from PSR, eDocs) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and auditability
Validate data flowing from integrated systems such as PeopleSoft, P6, Impact, and Capital Accounting
Work closely with the Unifier Developer to verify data pipelines, field mappings, and report calculations
Identify anomalies, document defects, and follow through on resolution
Collaboration & Support:
Support UAT execution by validating test outcomes through analytics
Provide stakeholders with transparent, accurate reporting for decision support
Coordinate closely with the Project Delivery Manager and Oracle Unifier Developer on data readiness
Qualifications
7 years of experience in business intelligence/reporting, including at least 2 years with Power BI
Strong hands-on experience with DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service
Familiarity with Unifier or other PMIS datasets preferred
Solid understanding of data validation best practices and reconciliation processes
SQL proficiency and ability to work with large datasets
Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills
