Cable Installation Technician

Moldcable INC Is hiring Cable Installation Technicians

A Cable Technician installs, maintains, and repairs telecommunications systems, including cable TV, internet, and phone services. This role typically involves both fieldwork and customer service, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.

Duties:

• Install and configure cables (coaxial, fiber optic, etc.) for television, internet, and telephone services.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and upgrades to existing systems.
• Set up customer premises equipment (CPE), such as modems, routers, and cable boxes.
• Diagnose and fix service issues, including signal loss, damaged cables, or hardware malfunctions.
• Use tools and equipment (e.g., signal meters, cable testers) to identify and resolve connectivity problems.
• Replace or repair defective cabling, hardware, or connections as needed.
• Provide on-site support and customer service, explaining technical issues in simple terms.
• Guide customers on how to use and troubleshoot their systems.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing solutions efficiently.
• Test signals and connections to ensure optimal performance and compliance with service standards.
• Perform signal strength adjustments and other corrective measures to optimize service quality.
• Follow safety procedures when working with electrical equipment, ladders, and in confined spaces.
• Comply with industry standards and government regulations for installations.
• Complete work orders and update service records after installations or repairs.
• Maintain accurate logs of customer interactions, job progress, and technical issues.

Work Environment:

• Fieldwork in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Exposure to various weather conditions when working outdoors.
• May involve working in attics, crawl spaces, or on ladders or utility poles.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver License and Social Security Card/Number;
• White Minivan or white Pick-up Truck/SUV;NOT MANDATORY
• Cleared Background;

Salary:

• Average annual salary ranges from $67,600 to $104,000, depending on experience, location, and production. Overtime and bonuses may be available.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $1,300.00 - $2,000.00 per week
