Position Overview
The Program Coordinator will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of MYM’s youth programs, ensuring high-quality programming, community engagement, and youth development. This role includes program planning, recruitment, workshop facilitation, administrative oversight, and community outreach. The Program Coordinator will serve as a bridge between youth participants, their families, local stakeholders, and organizational leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Operations & Leadership
- Oversee daily program operations, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for youth participants.
- Develop and implement program initiatives aligned with MYM’s mission and goals.
- Supervise and support youth participants during workshops.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, mentorship, and personal growth among youth participants.
Community Engagement & Outreach
- Recruit and retain student members through outreach efforts, school partnerships, and community engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with parents, schools, law enforcement, and local organizations.
- Represent MYM at community meetings, events, and outreach initiatives to increase awareness and program participation.
- Utilize program social media channels to engage the community and promote MYM’s mission.
Program Coordination & Facilitation
- Develop and coordinate monthly youth workshops using provided curriculum and best practices.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate educational, leadership, and personal development activities.
- Ensure workshops and activities are interactive, impactful, and tailored to the needs of the participants.
- Take initiative in generating new ideas to enhance program effectiveness and youth engagement.
Administrative & Office Management
- Schedule intake interviews, meetings, and other program-related appointments.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming office environment, including managing supplies and youth resources.
- Assist in creating and updating program marketing and informational materials.
- Prepare monthly reports on program activities, impact metrics, and participant progress.
- Oversee logistics for community events, including setup, execution, and cleanup.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education, Social Work, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in program management, youth development, education, or community work.
- Core Competencies:
- Passion for youth empowerment and community engagement.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including youth, families, and community partners.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and social media platforms.
- Ability to create reports, track program data, and manage schedules efficiently.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and engage in activities requiring standing, walking, and event setup.
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Raeford, NC.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
