Position: Event Center Lead
Reports To: Event Center Manager
Hours: Full-Time
Salary: Hourly plus Gratuity
POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Event Lead will work directly with our Event Center team to ensure that all operational functions of the Event Center are completed. Utilizing a team approach, the Event Lead will ensure that all inventory, housekeeping, A/V, and maintenance requirements are carried out to provide a fully functional event atmosphere. You will work with a team to plan and execute all stages of events providing every guest with a unique experience meeting our high standard of service. As the Event Lead you will play a key role in ensuring that our guest needs are met, and our event facility maintains a remarkable atmosphere which will directly impact on our guest experience and revenue growth.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead daily operations of the Event Center including inventory, maintenance, housekeeping, event set up and breakdown.
· Work directly with the Event Center team to coordinate and execute all aspects of events from set-up to break down.
· Lead by example to create an environment that is positive, professional, promotes teamwork and exceeds guests’ expectations throughout all stages of events.
· Ensure all policies, procedures, standards, and safety regulations are met in accordance with the SGEC Employee Handbook, OSHA, and Safe Food Handling.
· Follows event BEO to ensure that all guest needs are met. Communicate with team and appropriate departments to provide efficient and professional execution of events.
· Lead, train, and assist staff to ensure our high standards of quality and service are met.
· Assist Event Coordinator with daily planning, communication, and execution of events.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.

· When Bartending or Performing Sales; No Pockets
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Must be able to obtain a bartender’s license within 30 days of hire.
· Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
· Physically able to perform all aspects of the position; must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
· Proven professional organizational, written and communication skills.
· Microsoft Office Experience; Including Word and Excel documents.
· Must have proven leadership ability, exceptional guest service experience, and knowledge of the foundations of events.
UPON HIRE:
· Two forms of ID, one of which must be a photo ID.
· Must submit to and pass drug and alcohol test. Pass random testing per SGEC Employee Handbook.
· Be able to pass a background investigation.
· Pass a Title 31 compliance test within 30 days of hire.
· Successfully complete a 60-day probationary period.
· Native American preference is granted according to P.L. 93-638..
