Molecular Designs is a team of doctors and scientists working to advance molecular diagnostics.
Our founding physicians entered the molecular diagnostics market focused on the most common pathogens that impact the population making products that are cost-effective, reduce waste, and are easy-to-use. We are currently looking for a Formulation Specialist to join our team.
The Formulation Specialist is responsible for the manufacturing of products in compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Follow all procedures for handling of reagents used in Production.
- Work with a team to efficiently meet scheduled production outputs.
- Record and maintain data in an organized manner, compliant with iso13485 regulation.
- Record and maintain proper inventory levels in ERP system, as well as inform proper channels of items needing reordering.
- Safely handle and remove hazardous waste from the lab for proper disposal.
- Keep Production area clean and organized.
- Use micropipettes and other lab equipment to create reagent mixes.
- Identify potential issues that could affect product quality and notify supervisors.
- Interact with Quality personnel to ensure all Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions are being followed.
- Assist and train other Production staff as necessary.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet daily schedules.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
- Must be able to maintain focus on tasks for extended lengths of time. Must be able to lift/move up to 40 pounds.
- Previous qPCR experience a plus.
- Experience in a lab environment working with volumes <20uL.
- Use of computer software including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Basic math and reasoning ability to understand procedures.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with members of a team to achieve a common goal.
