Job Description:
The Assembler is responsible for performing various tasks to assemble, erect, and replace parts of standard and custom products as manufactured by Moline Machinery. This position is for an individual with strong attention to detail, highly motivated, strong organization skills, and a team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various machine shop and hand tools for proper fitting and assembly of products.
- Perform basic electrical connections required during the assembly process.
- Ability to package, crate, and skid machines.
- Read and interpret simple to moderately complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure quality control standards are maintained, including the use of precision measuring tools and instruments.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, based on skills and abilities.
- Work with Engineering and Production teams to modify parts and drawings as required.
- Participate in occasional travel for field service and machine installations, both domestically and internationally.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Job Requirements:
- Associate degree, high school degree or equivalent experience.
- 0-3 years related work experience, preferably in a machine shop environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
- Knowledge of precision measurement tools and instruments.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Work is performed on the shop floor.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent use of the phone and computer.
- High attention to detail is required.
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
