What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Setter position at Mollertech South LLC?
Main Duties:
- Perform mold changes and the setup of robots and work cells
- Carry out tasks and assignments given in team meetings
- Follow all safety requirements and programs
- Clean inside and around machinery on a regular basis
- Complete mold changes and robot setups with assigned PT
- Ensure all applicable paperwork is hanging at its designated presses
- Check last shots before completing mold change; fill out ‘last piece’ sheet
- Set up process in machine for timely startup
- Attend meetings and training as directed by management
- Assist in setting up work cell for new mold
- Repair minor leaks on machinery or tools as required
Skills and Qualities:
- Able to perform mold changes and setup in all types of injection molding machines
- Capable of performing minor maintenance work in molds and machines
- Strong sense of accuracy and awareness of detail
- Ability to work productively and co-operatively within a team environment while also possessing the ability to work autonomously
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good mechanical aptitude and solid numeric skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Maintains good diagnostics skills and the use of a proactive approach to problem solving
- Work will be in a shop area consisting of injection molding machines that produce heat, hot plastic, oil, and water. The plant floor will be active with people performing hi-lo traffic
- High School Diploma required
- Proficient in processing, setting molds and related hookups on presses, experienced with mechanized overhead hoist and hi-lo operation
