What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Maker (3+ Years Experience Required) position at Mollertech South LLC?
Main Duties:
- Work as part of a team or as an individual to achieve set goals within the department.
- Service and repair tool and die equipment to reach the department KPI targets
- Create detailed reports on activity’s conducted on equipment according to IATF standards.
- Capable to adapt priority's to meet department targets without supervision & identify situations where escalation when needed.
- Identify faults and identify root causes.
- Promote a clean work environment, and safety standards.
- Maintain maintenance stock levels through recording usage, raising requisitions and confirming receipt of goods.
- Maintain the security of personal and company equipment.
- Ability to work weekends or during shutdown periods.
- Confirm PM schedule with production planning to achieve weekly targets for scheduled maintenance.
- Manage personal time and schedule to maximize productivity.
- Repair failed equipment that is feasible for repair on site.
- Clean work stations and area.
- Discuss and execute 24 hour plan to meet KPI requirements.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Proficient in processing, setting molds and related hookups on presses, experienced with mechanized overhead hoist and hi-lo operation
- High School Diploma required
Skills and Qualities:
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with a strong work ethic and emphasis on quality
- The ability to Self-motivated & work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of engineering drawings
- Understanding of the injection molding manufacturing processes
- Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
- Planning and prioritizing activities with the ability to work with minimum supervision and to timescales
- Understanding of Health and Safety practices
- Able to use tool room machines and hand tools to form complex shapes to high tolerances.
- Experience with tooling and Plastic injection molding machines
- Experience interfacing with product engineering, operations, manufacturing engineering and supplier
- Work will be in an production floor environment – may be exposed to noise when working in production areas and at customer or supplier locations as required
- Have good hand to eye co-ordination..
- Have S.T.E.M. background or qualifications.
- Know the strengths and characteristics of metals and other materials.
- Manufacturing techniques using manual equipment to tight tolerances
- Basic IT skills such as typing, Email, windows and basic skills in Microsoft windows and office programs
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds working on feet for long periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
