**This is a rotational position - 10 days on, 4 days off. I have have this same role out of Orla, TX, with an 8 days on, 6 days off rotation.
**The role has overtime pay as well (1.5x)
The Role
Seeking a highly motivated Automation I&E Technician who will be responsible for building, servicing, testing, and commissioning automated control systems.
Qualifications:
- Read and interpret manuals, policy, engineering standards, regulations, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID’s
- Experience with basic networking and common communication protocols including Modbus RTU and TCP/IP.
- Experience installing, repairing, or replacing AC/DC variable speed drives
- Working knowledge of pressure and flow systems
- Installs, repairs, or replaces level, pressure, flow instruments
- Perform preventive maintenance and testing of PLC/Pneumatic systems
- Be able to trouble shoot AC/DC controls up to 480 Volts
- At least 2 years' experience as an automation, instrumentation, or process controls technician
- Valid driver’s license
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
- Effectively communicate with customers and other teammates
Working Conditions and Requirements:
- Frequent exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditions
- Repetitively standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, and climbing ladders up to 20 feet. Occasionally lifting to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
- Subject to callouts to respond to operational issues and emergencies after working hours, at night, and on weekends and holidays
- Work in and around industrial and construction settings, which may include hazardous products,
processes, materials, and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and may require appropriate personal protective equipment
- Reliable attendance at work
- Occasional overnight travel and extended hours may be required.
