The Headlines
Molson Coors is looking to hire one 1L for a 2025 summer internship in our Chicago, Illinois office. Candidates should be highly motivated law students who are in their first year of law school, are committed to improving diversity in the legal profession, and are eager to learn and can work both independently and with our corporate attorneys and legal analysts. This summer legal internship will expose to you many aspects of our business, provide first-hand experience of how an in-house legal department operates, and allow you to put into practice the legal research, writing and analytical skills you’ve learned during your first year of law school. In-house practice is not geared toward writing lengthy research memos, but as a summer legal intern you will have plenty of opportunities to express your analysis and opinions in writing and further develop your research skills. Work assignments vary each year, but they typically include researching alcohol beverage, advertising, IP, sales & regulatory, and employment law issues, reviewing and revising contracts, and analyzing corporate and general liability issues.
The Responsibilities
Our legal department confronts a wide variety of legal issues every day including advertising/marketing, trademark, litigation, corporate matters, M&A, employment, contracts, and regulatory. The Americas Legal team is comprised of over 40 legal professionals who will provide the interns with learning opportunities and extensive exposure to our business and the variety of legal subjects with which we regularly engage. Legal interns can expect to regularly engage with our Chicago attorneys as well as other members of our legal team.
The Other Qualifications
Molson Coors is committed to an inclusive workplace. We’re an equal opportunity employer and invite applications from candidates of all backgrounds, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic.
