The Headlines:
In the role of a High Voltage Electrician working at the Coors Brewery in Golden, Colorado, you will be part of the Electrical Department in Production Operations. You will be responsible for playing an important role in providing electrical support to our operations, production, engineering and maintenance groups. Our high voltage electrician teams help ensure the achievement of the plants vision and business plan in terms of value, quality, service and people.
This position reports to the Electrical Supervisor and works closely with our production teams.
The Responsibilities:
- High voltage electricians must test, repair, and maintain electrical (substation and distribution) systems
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to determine wiring layouts
- Thorough knowledge of maintaining electrical systems with electrical potential above 600 volts
- Ability to use various tools and test instruments for safety, troubleshooting and electrical component integrity
- Maintain 5kv & 15kv electrical equipment including motors and transformers and other distribution components
- Required to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods of time or kneel in small places for extended amounts of time
- Subject to emergency call back procedures, twenty-four hours a day, as may be required in order to maintain continuous operation of a facility
- The ability to distinguish colors to work with color-coded wiring
- The ability to work at heights
The Other Qualifications:
- Four years of experience working with high-voltage (600 volts and up) service, switch gear and control wiring or large (30 horsepower or more) motors, compressors and motor circuitry is required.
- Two years of this experience must have been in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Licensed preferred, but not required
- You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development.
- You are serious about delivering results, and take pride in a proven track record in delivering.
- You have a high school diploma or a GED.
- You are at least 21 years of age
- As part of the recruitment process, the candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a background check.
