Job Description
Quality Assurance Technician
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure that our standards are met and our equipment and materials are functioning properly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cooler audits and document results
- Conduct inbound receiving and outbound shipping inspections and document findings
- Assure that gel packs meet target weights and have proper seals
- Maintain compliance with sanitation and GMP requirements for all team members
- Monitor and document room temperatures throughout the facility as assigned by management
- Document temperatures of meals
- Perform general cleaning tasks as needed and assigned by the Quality & Food Safety Manager
- Accurately complete all required documentation
- Stop the line if a food safety concern arises
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of facility
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous experience in food manufacturing
- Self-motivation and drive to succeed
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills:
- Food Safety and/or Quality Assurance experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly use hands to operate objects and tools
- Frequently stand, communicate, and listen
- Occasionally walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
