Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician will support food safety and GMP regulations within our prep kitchen and blast chill environments. They are expected to maintain a high level of quality, accuracy, and adherence to food safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CCP checks on cooking and cooling product temperatures
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including CCP records
- Conduct pre-operational inspections
- Perform environmental and food contact surface sampling
- Verify the accuracy of thermometers
- Inspect dishes for cleanliness
- Adhere to strict GMP guidelines
- Perform chemical titrations
- In cases where food safety concerns arise, the technician has authority to stop production
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrate effective Food Safety knowledge (HACCP, allergens, sanitation, GMPs)
- Prioritize accuracy in work
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- At least one year of experience in food quality-related roles
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly uses hands to manipulate objects and tools
- Frequently stands, communicates, and listens
- Occasionally walks, stoops, kneels, or crouches
- Occasionally lifts and moves up to 50 pounds
- Has visual perception to perform job tasks
- Able to perform repetitive movements
- Can work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
