Position Summary The Contract Specialist II works closely with corporate leadership to develop, negotiate and execute moderately complex contracts in a timely manner in accordance with policies and standards surrounding contract management and the contract renewal process. This position can work a hybrid or remote work schedule after initial training.
Must be local to Iowa to work onsite 2 days / week in Ankeny, IA. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
- Review, draft, negotiate and coordinate the completion of contracts for payers which include various agencies, health plans and / or government agencies
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and uses discretion to escalate as needed
- Work in partnership with leadership ensuring contracting and other collateral information meets the needs of contracting elements
- Manage the RFP draft response process, completing, submitting and tracking all responses as they are due
- Accurately input and maintain contract documentation and data in company database
- Stay up to date with healthcare regulations and review contractual language to ensure compliance
