What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fulfillment Plant Manager position at Mom's Meals?
The Fulfillment Plant Manager leads and develops fulfillment/plant operations within a multi shift facility. Focuses on team building and creating a best-in-class work environment. Supervises, hires, disciplines, and evaluates hourly and management teams within the fulfillment center. Ensures customer demand is efficiently satisfied while consistently moving the team forward through productivity and quality enhancements.

- Promote teamwork and champion employee engagement
- Coach, develop, and provide regular feedback to exempt and non-exempt team members
- Conduct performance appraisals
- Create and implement exempt development plans
- Develop and execute daily operational plans through partnerships with key business partners, ensuring excellent service to our clients
- Responsible for key business metrics including labor cost, safety, on-time delivery, order accuracy, and employee turnover
- Communicate goals and objectives to the fulfillment team, ensuring alignment to overall company goals
- Challenge the status quo, driving productivity improvements and cost reductions through ongoing Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives
- Lead quality improvement and order accuracy efforts
- Oversee Inventory accuracy within the facility
- Partnering with Purchasing and Finance to ensure all materials needs are met, eliminating materials-related production slowdowns
- Partnering with Food Safety & Tech Services to ensure we are meeting FDA, USDA, and General Manufacturing Practice requirements
- Create and maintain a success-oriented, accountable environment within the fulfillment center
- Effectively incorporate customer perspectives and feedback into all business activities
- Champion all safety efforts to ensure the safest possible work environment
- Formulate and implement employee corrective actions as needed
- Must be willing and able to work occasional weekends
- Associate’s degree
- 5 years of fulfillment or production leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment
- Experience operating within an automated environment
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience working in a food related industry
- Lean manufacturing certification or experience leading in a company practicing Lean
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
- Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen
- Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Able to perform repetitive movements
- Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
