What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer - Full-Stack position at Mom's Meals?
The Full-Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, including designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining database-driven applications. Includes programming, unit testing, documentation, debugging of front and back-end software applications. Entails working on existing applications as well as creating new applications.
This position will be onsite in our Ankeny, IA headquarters. It can be hybrid, but still local to the Des Moines, IA area to work onsite 2-3 times/week.
\n- Design, code, and modify web applications, from layout to function (Front-End and Back-End); strive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including designing, coding, documenting, and testing programs
- Design and implement scalable web services, applications, and APIs
- Write low-level and high-level code
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs
- Identify bottlenecks and improve software efficiency
- Review other team members' work to ensure the quality and consistency in the development teams outputs
- Manage multiple projects
- Adhere to the standards and guidelines of Information System Technology Methodology
- Work within set company and unit standards, policies, and procedures
- Maintain an up-to-date technical knowledge and understanding of practical programming application
- Maintain the confidentiality of information processed
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Previous experience as a full-stack engineer
- 2 years Object-Oriented development experience (Design and Programming)
- 2 years’ experience as a web developer using Angular framework with full stack development experience
- 2 years’ experience in C#.NET design and development
- Deep functional knowledge with hands on design experience with Web Services and web programming languages (e.g., HTML, REST, WSDL, JSON, XML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, ASP.NET Web Services/ API's) is needed to be successful in this position
- Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to web applications
- Minimum of 1 full lifecycle project development and implementation
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
- Strong Software Quality Assurance (QA) skills
- Strong ability to debug applications in various software languages
- Self-motivated and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner; ability to work alone or within a team
- Willingness to work occasionally outside normal business hours
- Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
- Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
