What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Assistant, Corporate Membership position at MoMA?
The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a Development Assistant to assist the Director and the Assistant Director of Institutional Giving by providing and executing a variety of administrative functions and tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Assists the Assistant Director with stewardship and fulfillment of Corporate Membership.
- Drafts and coordinates regular and ad hoc outreach to members and prospects, including acquisition, renewal, and upgrade efforts and event invitations.
- Researches and identifies membership prospects; assembles pitch materials.
- Processes incoming gifts, prepares receipts, and drafts acknowledgements.
- Circulates corporate member information internally and updates roster on moma.org
- Works with member representatives to promote employee participation and corporate involvement in the Museum’s exhibitions and programs.
- Assists with the organization and implementation of Corporate Member tours and events, including some morning and evening work.
- Assists with the preparation of attendance reports for corporate members as needed.
- Updates Salesforce database and Corporate Membership files on a regular basis.
- Assists with day to day administrative responsibilities, including maintaining files and responding to phone and email inquiries.
- Other duties reasonably related to the above.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, and one or more years of related experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Salesforce, or other CRM databases.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working independently with donors or customers.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in and knowledge of modern and contemporary art is a plus.
Reports to: Assistant Director, Institutional Giving.
Salary: The annual salary for this position is $57,139; increasing to $59,424 at the end of May 2025.
