About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Materials Operator to join our team at Momentive, Inc. As a Materials Operator, you will play a critical role in the operation of our manufacturing process equipment, ensuring the smooth production of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain manufacturing process equipment to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Packaging finished products and general labor throughout the facility.
- Participate in area and business improvement activities, quality, mechanical integrity, and environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance activities.
- Assist with production tasks as assigned and work/train anywhere in the area operation.
- Perform housekeeping to ensure area safety and maintain audit-ready condition.
- Complete equipment clean-outs/turnarounds as required to ensure proper operation.
- Follow all standard operation and business procedures, safety, environmental, and quality guidelines, plant standards, and codes of conduct.
- Communicate with leadership regarding any production, product quality, or safety issues as they arise.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a chemical operator or related field operator in the process industry with knowledge of computers and/or electronic instrumentation.
- An associate or bachelor's degree in a technical-related field or a 9-month certificate of completion in chemical operating or related field (mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation).
- Military experience in a related area specified on a DD-214 (chemical handling; boiler operations).
