Summer 2025 I&E Engineer Intern
Summary
In this role, you will be working as an I&E engineer to include small projects to replace instruments or electrical equipment. You will also work with the PM-I&E Engineer to assist them on any needs they need help on.
Responsibilities Include
- Primary focus will be on entering small projects into SAP PPM and following the project through while the intern is here.
- Track project through Excel spend file and SAP
- Obtain quotes from vendors
- Order equipment through SAP
- Complete drawings of items being replaced by utilizing existing drawings.
- Writing a scope of work for construction for the project they are responsible for.
- Follow construction depending on timing of equipment arrival before intern leaves.
- Secondary focus will be assisting PM-I&E engineer
- Buy equipment and materials
- Assist with scope of works, drawings, and listings for projects.
The following are required for the role
- Microsoft Office especially in Word and Excel
- AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software
- Study electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology
- Proven ability to work in project teams
- Must have a willingness to learn and contribute
- Ability to communicate with a wide variety of personnel
- Interest in the Manufacturing Industry
- Willingness to seek out opportunities and ask questions
- Working on a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering for electrical engineering technology
- The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.
- The candidate is expected to be available to work in person 40 hours a week for 10-12 weeks between May and August.
- Students enrolled in a Graduate degree level program are eligible to receive a higher rate than the range listed below. Master's rate: $32/hr; PhD rate: $37/hr
