Job Description:
4G/5G Femto RAN Engineer
- Looking for a 2-6yr 4G,5G SA/NSA Femto Test engineer.
- Should be excellent in PCAP log-in UE side, RAN and core level analysis.
- Worked in the integration of Femto into Tmobile or AT&T network
- Working with client Femto integration to client network and take ownership of FEMTO fucntional, Performance and Security based testing.
- Perform RAN testing and validation, regression ,functional, performance, stability testing of new FEMTO software and hardware.
- Perform commissioning and integration of RAN related hardware to core network via IPSEC gateway
- Interface with both internal and external customers to provide commissioning and integration of FEMTO RAN hardware/software as well as provide technical RAN support related services
- Validate and prepare test cases and system documentation
- Monitor system performance and help to root cause deviations in performance
- Troubleshoot and assist in root cause analysis of software and hardware related issues
- Perform implementation of new software and maintenance loads
- Support lab/pilot/FOA planning and validation of new hardware and software
- Perform testing of interoperability of 3rd party products
- Assist with customer problem investigation and support all facets of resolution on-site / customer lab.
What You Need
- A firm/expert working knowledge of 5G(SA/NSA),LTE and VONR, VoLTE Platforms
- Bachelor's degree /master's degree in computer systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems
- Must have 2-4 years of experience with the following: RAN Engineering for 5G, 4G ; Radio Network Commissioning and Integration of 4G, 5G ; and RAN Commissioning and Integration processes and tools
- Must have 2 years of experience with the following: Small Cells/FEMTO, including FEMTO Gateway, Security IPSEC,AAA (Authentication, Authorization Accounting), HDM (Home Device Manager), or SAM (Service Area Manager) node.
- Must have experience on 5G SA & NSA gNodeB & UE side log analysis and E2E network understanding
- Must have experience in testing with different mobiles, CPE in various smallcell or Femto.
- Must have work experience in lab testing with TM500(UE simulator), Lab simulator (keysight/Anritsu, Anite) for RF testing.
- Have experience/knowledge of field testing for any one operator and tools associated with field testing.
- Deep understanding of LTE, VoLTE, 5G VoNR L2/L3 call flows with the ability to understand and analyze traces (PCAP, GNB traces)on gnodeB, UE, Core network side.
- Continue to provide the best network in the industry as measured by RootMetrics and other benchmarking metrics.
- Self-motivated and report the daily testing status to the Client/Internal team.
- Should know bug reporting tools like JIRA, etc.
