Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office) 794 Davis St, San Leandro, CA 94577
# of Positions: 2
Length of Assignment: 8-12 months with possible extension

The ideal candidate will have a passion for building and maintaining reliable systems, ensuring high availability, and improving the overall performance of our infrastructure. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing observability solutions that provide deep insights into our systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Observability Solutions: Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, and tracing systems.
Dashboard Development: Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide visibility into system performance and health.
Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate observability into the entire software development lifecycle.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, reliability, and scalability.
Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Tool Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance observability tools and practices to meet organizational needs.
Documentation: Document observability processes, best practices, and guidelines for the team.

Required Skills:
Proficiency in Java J2EE, with experience in Microservices development.
Preferred experience with OCP (OpenShift Container Platform).
Strong understanding of modern architecture and design patterns.
Experience with designing and developing observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, and tracing.
Ability to develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues.
Experience in automating tasks to improve efficiency.
Knowledge of cloud technologies and infrastructure management.
