Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality behavioral therapy and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to implement effective behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
Duties
- Conduct patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual needs and develop tailored behavior intervention plans.
- Implement behavioral therapy techniques in various settings, ensuring consistency and adherence to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and any changes in behavior or condition.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support for clients with autism and other disabilities.
- Monitor client progress through data collection and analysis, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Provide training and support to parents and caregivers on behavior management strategies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and behavioral therapy.
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is essential.
- Experience in patient care, including conducting assessments and maintaining medical records.
- Background in special education or related fields is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and professionals.
