Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and tracking all cleaning supplies and equipment within our warehouse, ensuring proper stock levels by regularly counting inventory, placing orders when needed, and maintaining accurate records of all janitorial items to optimize cleaning operations and minimize waste.
The duties/responsibilities for this position include but aren't limited to:
Inventory Tracking:
-Performing regular physical counts of cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain accurate inventory levels.
-Utilizing inventory management software to record stock levels and track usage.
-Identifying and reporting discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
Ordering and Receiving:
-Monitoring stock levels to determine when to place new orders for cleaning supplies.
-Creating purchase orders and coordinating deliveries with vendors.
-Inspecting incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality of supplies.
Storage and Organization:
-Properly labeling and storing cleaning supplies in designated storage areas.
-Maintaining a clean and organized storage space for efficient access to supplies.
-Rotating stock to ensure proper usage and prevent expiration of products.
Reporting and Analysis:
-Generating inventory reports detailing stock levels, usage trends, and cost analysis.
-Identifying areas for cost reduction and inventory optimization.
-Collaborating with janitorial supervisors to adjust ordering strategies based on usage patterns.
Equipment Maintenance:
-Performing basic maintenance checks on cleaning equipment to ensure proper functionality.
-Coordinating repairs or replacements for damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
Skills and Qualifications:
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-Basic understanding of janitorial supplies and equipment
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Excellent communication skills for coordinating with vendors and colleagues
- Proficiency using Microsoft (Word, EXCEL, Teams, Outlook, etc)
-Telephone Etiquette
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG SCREEN
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
