Job Description
We seek a Part-Time Contract Accountant to support our financial operations. This role requires approximately 10 hours per month, with 5 hours dedicated to month-end processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly Accounts Payable and bi-weekly Payroll
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and prepare financial statements
- Assist in annual budget preparation with key stakeholders
- Prepare 1099 forms, Sales Use and Withholding Annual Returns, and Personal Property Annual Returns
- Collaborate with CPA as needed for year-end reporting and tax preparation (most taxes are prepared by third parties)
- Ensure compliance with year-end closing procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and ADP payroll
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Prior experience in nonprofit accounting is a plus
