What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Children's Ministries position at Momentum Church?
The Children’s Ministry Director is responsible for creating and implementing engaging programs, fostering spiritual growth in children, and building relationships with families, while also recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers.
Responsibilities Include:
· Program Development and Implementation:
· Plan and implement age-appropriate programs and activities for children for Sunday morning and other monthly and/or quarterly events
· Develop and utilize engaging curriculum materials.
· Create a safe and welcoming environment for children and families.
· Leadership and Team Management:
· Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers and staff for children's ministry.
· Supervise and support ministry leaders and teachers.
· Maintain clear communication and collaboration with church staff and volunteers.
· Family Engagement:
· Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed about ministry activities and events.
· Encourage family involvement in children's ministry.
· Provide resources and support for parents in their children's spiritual development.
· Pastoral Care and Spiritual Guidance:
· Provide pastoral care and support to children and their families.
· Model Christian character and values.
· Lead children in worship and spiritual activities.
· Administrative Tasks:
· Manage budgets and resources for children's ministry.
· Maintain accurate records of attendance and other relevant information.
· Coordinate with other church departments to ensure smooth operations.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
